How will co-owners’ returns be generated?

High-speed transport was previously separated from the other business areas because of the enormous cost of building test tracks. The Infrastructure and Logistics Development Corporation has now been established to implement megaprojects such as the Minsk–Moscow corridor. The Group of Companies and the technology’s co-owners hold an initial 80% stake in the Corporation.

Partner returns will come from two sources:

• Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC). The portfolio of engineering design contracts for the Minsk–Moscow corridor alone will be worth approximately $500 million.
• Royalties. 5% of the Corporation’s revenue throughout the service life of the lines—100 years or more. The partners’ stake is securely protected: if the arrival of large-scale capital reduces it below the blocking stake threshold of 25%, the royalty rate will automatically rise to 10%.

Why are local projects necessary?

Urban and freight lines are the “first stage,” demonstrating the technology’s reliability to large-scale investors. The ongoing fund-raising keeps the engineering center—comprising more than 60 design bureaus—operating without interruption while global routes are being prepared. Targeted financing of specific commercial lines is planned for the future, with a projected annual target return of 20% or more.
